The pilot used was Ren Serizawa, the son of Ishiro Serizawa, who would enter a trance while piloting the mecha. Using the skull of Ghidorah's left head, a cockpit was made to control Mechagodzilla through radio waves. Mechagodzilla was constructed by the technology conglomerate Apex Industries in the aftermath of Ghidorah's apocalyptic rampage in 2019. This incarnation of Mechagodzilla is set to return and battle Godzilla and Kong in the fourth entry of the MonsterVerse, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla is the first mecha introduced in the MonsterVerse and one of the main antagonists of the verse. His Angels are not fully loyal to him, since they can stop worshiping him if they're impresed by the power of another deity like Godzilla.

Godzilla even eats some of the angels and demons before continuing on his way. The angels and demons then begin worshiping Godzilla, which again does not interest him. After SpaceGodzilla's death, the angels and God try to persuade Godzilla to join them again, but Godzilla still is not interested and responds by sealing the entrance to Heaven with his atomic breath. Luckily, the angels arrive and help Godzilla defeat SpaceGodzilla by giving him a powerful force field. SpaceGodzilla tackles Godzilla and holds him in place so the demons can go down Godzilla's throat and consume his heart in order to make him a permanent servant of Hell. There, he is confronted by a swarm of demons and a demonically-enhanced SpaceGodzilla.
After crushing an angel in between his hands, Godzilla is thrown into Hell by God, where he lands in an icy cavern. The angels and God try persuading Godzilla to join Heaven's army, but Godzilla is not interested.
Godzilla was send to Purgatory, a sacred place where he sees angels with Mothra's wings, along with God, who takes the form of a multi-eyed mountain with the body parts of several different monsters on it. In Issue #3 the King of the Monsters and his nemesis SpaceGodzilla generated a huge explosion that destroyed a false planet Earth in one of the layers of Hell. Serving as one of the protagonists of the comic series. God-mountain is a divine being created by IDW Publishing that appears in issue #3 of the comic book miniseries Godzilla in Hell.
